           NIKE LunarElite+ 2

There are 3 basic keys to becoming a better athlete: proper nutrition, appropriate shoes, and constant motivation.  Keeping your mind and body healthy will allow you to train more consistently and effectively, which makes you better.  These weekly reviews aim to educate readers on product available to fullfil their key requirements.

 NIKE LunarElite+ 2

The LunarElite checks in as Nike's premiere low-profile trainer.  While they offer many styles of performance shoes, and more flexible shoes like the Free, this trainer is the culmination of their best features.

Some technical features: lightweight and responsive Lunarlon (tm) midsole, flexgrooves along the entire foot, carbon rubber waffle outsole, and Flywire(tm) anchors along the midfoot.  This shoe is marketed as a mid-stability shoe for the underpronator through mild overpronator, and in my experience it acts to its billing.

Be aware, if you're an overpronator this shoe is not going to correct you.  The medial posting is low in the foot and will meerly assist your stride.  However the Dynamic Support wedge found in the Nike Lunar Series will provide adaptive support as your stride changes throughout the run - and don't be fooled, your stride is changing between start and finish.  There is a reason this shoe is called the "Elite," it's
meant to compliment the efficient mechanics of the worlds top runners.

But if you're in the market for a shoe which will help you run more efficiently, and you're willing to put in the patient work to correct hitches in your stride, then this shoe will take you where you want to go.  Personally I recommend it as a "second option" shoe, and should only carry up to 45% of your weekly milage load.  Best use includes shorter easy-milage days and weekly tempo work.  Get a pair and enjoy them!
